- The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It. Why: When I first began my small business, I read this book but didn’t pay much attention to it. Now that I’ve been working with clients for over ten years, I’ve come to appreicate everything Gerber lays out in this book. You are the owner, manager and technician of your business. Success for anyone in any type of business depends on how well documented things are.
- Naked Statistics: Stripping the Dread from the Data 1st Edition. Why: Wheelan does a phenomenal job of laying out the basics of laying out statistics in a fun and enjoyable way. If you work with data in any way shape or form, you should read this book.
- The Idea Factory: Bell Labs and the Great Age of American Innovation. Why: Bell Labs was the Google of its time. Some of the greatest inventors and modern day thinkers worked there and are discussed in this book.
